Default Is this normal tranny behavior?

I'm curious, I've noticed recently that my car seems to roll backward easier and easier when on an incline. I have an automatic, and I'm pretty sure that on the same incline in the past, I would either not move at all, or even move forwards. I was just wondering if it's designed to roll back that way. I haven't put it in neutral to see the difference in speed to compare. If you need extra info, just ask. Thanks!

I believe it's normal for auto's to roll back on an incline. My first Civic did it and my girlfriend's past 2 autos did as well.

I'm no expert, but I think it's pretty normal.

You mean being a Tranny? lol.

OP, see if you can raise your idling rpm just a tad.
100rpm or slightly less should take care of it.

Thanks Pascal, I'll do that.

I agree too, there is nothing normal about the behavior of a tranny.

Transmissions however, now they should be somewhat uniform, even though they may not be at times. Guess I'll specify better next time
