Not necessarily. If they reflash it can change your strategy code just enough that your custom tune won't load back properly.

Yes you WOULD still have to worry about it. With any tune, the dealer can still reflash the PCM, leaving you screwed when you try to reinstall any of your tunes.

If I loaded the stock tune before I went to the dealer, I wouldn't make it to the dealer, lol.

You would have to have a tuner pull the strategy codes and write new tunes to fit.

The bottom line is, the dealer should not be touching anything on your car, ESPECIALLY THE PCM, without your consent. With nineinchnail's mod, you've added another "administrative barrier" that should help prevent it (although I'm sure some of Ford's techs can't read). At least the dealer can't say "You never told us."
