Default vac/boost sensor for Aeroforce

Which would one these would I need for my Aeroforce gauges? I'm interested in displaying my vacuum (and maybe boost one day).

http://www.aeroforcetech.com/product...ors_boost.html

I couldn't find the info I needed on which to use on their site.

For most low boost applications, the GM 2-bar would be sufficient as it can read up to 15psi. I used that one initially on my car before hooking up my Aeroforce gauge to the built-in MAP on my E-force.

Hmm, so it seems from what I've read, the Aeroforce gauge will display vacuum in PSI just like the boost, but it seems it'll show a negative PSI. That's kind of lame as I want to see it as inHG (inches of mercury).

I guess I need this then: http://www.amazon.com/Auto-Meter-248.../dp/B0009RSXO4

I may buy the triple dask pod from SOS and put one of those vacuum gauges in, a wideband and something else...a clock maybe, lol.

You are correct... when using a MAP with an Aeroforce gauge, it will display psi. At idle, mine is sitting ~ -9 psi.

I have never seen a sensor that you can use for these scan gauges for displaying true vacuum. Curious why vacuum is so important to you??

Well since I have hot rod cams, I'm curious what kind of vacuum I'm getting now. I know it's going to be lower. Stock cams should be about 20 inHG or so according to hammeron.

I'm also thinking of getting a vacuum can just to be sure the lower vacuum doesn't cause a problem. I think they're fairly cheap.

i love being able to see vacuum and boost
levels.

my vaccuum went from -23 to -15 after
hot rods. i would think you would see
not exact, but similar findings.

no issues at all with brakes, so far.

Another thing I thought of why it's good to know vacuum is it will let you know when you have a leak b/c then it'll be lower than normal.

I know in some auto transmissions, low vacuum could cause them to not shift properly but I don't know if the 5R55S cares about vacuum. I had the thought that maybe the flashing O/D light I was seeing was perhaps due to vacuum. But I think that's not the case now b/c according to a guy on s197forum he had the exact same issue and it turned out to be values in the tune for the trans that needs to be raised to it does not trigger a false alarm due to the loping of the cams. He also said that the shop that installed his cams said no one with a manual had issues with these cams, but EVERYONE with an auto did (the flashing O/D light).

The odd thing is my first Brenspeed tune has not done that, but my updated one from them does. :/

your hot rod cams are a vacuum leak
