Default Sequentials

I was looking into buying sequential lights for my '08 GT. I'm looking at the kit from American Muscle but I have heard people have had problems with bulbs blowing does anyone know if this is true and if so is it something that can be prevented?

I've had a set from AM for nearly 2 years and have never had to replace a bulb. I love them and the reactions I see from the cars behind me in the rear veiw mirror are always fun.

Its the first mod I plan on doing I've only had my Mustang for a couple weeks. I just heard rumors of bulbs shooting and I just didnt want to risk getting a ticket because a light is shot.

Excellent mod. All of the sequentials are pretty much the same. And I don't believe any are responsible for bulbs blowing any more than normal. I suspect that rough handling during installation may be attributed to the perception of bulb failures. I've had mine installed for over 1 year and my g/f's have been installed for over 8 months with no bulb failures.

I had bulbs go out on my car when it was 1 year old before I ever got the sequentials. Driving around town I also see people with random rear bulbs out on their Mustangs. I would venture a guess to say that it is a problem with the bulbs, not the sequential harness. Since replacing my one burnt out bulb in 2007. I haven't had a problem with bulbs again. Sequentials have been on my car since 2008, problem free. I say do it.

I just got these and they look great. Too bad I can't see them when driving : ). I think the bulb burning out is because people are touching the glass. When you do that oil from your hand gets on there and can cause it to burn out.

Great tip! I'll keep it in mind when I go to install mine from WebElectric.

I just installed the AM kit last weekend. Really nice product. The harness is solid and fits exactly like stock. Not only do they look neat when blinking, I've noticed that people actually notice my turn signals and brakes and tend to drive better around me. People let me in more. Sequentials are good for safety.
