Default Cops and sequentials

Well, last night makes the third time I've been pulled over in the last couple months for nothing more than my sequential taillights. Haven't gotten a ticket, but I'd be more than happy to take it to court if I did. Has anyone else ever had any problems? The general reasoning behind pulling me over is that "they're too distracting to other drivers."

One of my co-workers has had his mustang rear ended three times. I suggested him getting the sequentials so people will actually see them. I think they help.. Also just tell them they come on the mustangs from the factory now.

eJanderson, I could tell you that they have no PC for the stop. It sounds more like an excuse than anything else...next time they pull you over ask the LEO to give you the vehicle code section that your in violation of..be sure to ask nicely dont be a jerk about it...

Just because new models come with them does not mean a retro-fit to an older model is legal. Many cars come with HIDs, adding HIDs to a car that did not come from the factory with them IS illegal in some states. Many 05-09 mustang owners in NJ with retro-fitted sequentials are failing state inspection.

Me neither I have them never had an issue, just an excuse to pull someone over. Another reason people don't like cops NOT ALL cops are like this, but some do have a power trip, and then the stereotype starts.

Hmm....and I'm about to install them on mine. With all the butt-hole cops around here, I wouldn't be surprised if I got pulled over. Heck, about 3 months ago I got pulled over for my blue tinted license plate frame!
I do think if by having sequentials, people will notice you more.
