Agree with everyone else! first off try to keep it at the track! and if you cant resist I dont see why a race would go over 120 mph.

PS i had a few 5-70ish with a new SS the other day, lets just say the 4.10s are doing their job. kid looked like a fool in front of his buddy, im sure he would have caught me at 80 plus but i cut off at 65 70ish twice.
4.10 ftw

highway races with 4.10s suck
this is what i was talking about

Hell I thought my 4.10's where a waste of money, real men use 4.30's with a 5 speed! Are you racing from a roll, I never have trouble with ls1's.

If you're ahead by 120, then you've won. If you aren't, then you will never be, so you lost.

My motorcycle is gear limited to 155-160, guess I should have bought a busa.

Those with 3.73s, what does your 4th top out at?
Same here, if you are not winning by 125, you wont win at all.

I let off every time at the limiter i 4th

I will more than likely be going with 3.73s once i go FI.
Same thing here. Only .5% of my races go above 125

4.10's are FTW

its not really about going to 125, its the fact that from a roll you are gunna fall behind more and more when you have to shift to the next gear while the other car with longer gears is still in a lower gear. from a dig your acceleration makes up for it, but from a roll they are useless. My suggestion is if you only race at the stripe get 4.10s or 4.30s, but if you do race on the highway, stick with the taller gears.

odd, I know with my 4.10s I had the speedo buried in 4th gear, I do agree with the 1st, 2ns and 3rd gear speeds though. imo though u shift more u get through the gear faster but ur increasing speed faster(or quicker, whichever way u look at it). and the gearing in the rear end doesn't determine ur shift points, it's the tranny right?

anyway 4.10s all the way, be it strip or street
