Ever since I bought my car, my spare tire is missing the piece that keeps it secured to the trunk. Anyone have a part number for it and what it might cost? I tried searching for it before in the parts catalog and couldn't find it. The parts guy at the local stealership had no clue..

I'm not sure about that part #, but when I had my car at the Ford body shop a couple months ago, they misplaced the jack and had to order one. They had trouble locating the part # for that as well but finally found it and ordered it.

I would check out what you can find at a hardware store. You may be able to get something way cheaper...

It hasn't been an issue so far not having that piece there.. but prolly for some safety issue.
