Default Help Fuel Pump

Check engine light is on, brought it to the stealership. Thought it was still under warranty and its not, said fuel pump busted $830. Is it really?
Any idea where i can get a cheaper one online and is it really difficult or we can actually do it ourselves?
Thanks guys ...

looks like $195 from rockauto.com

cross reference the part numbers to be
sure it's really the correct one.

the install would be pretty easy, we'll help
you with documentation if you need it.

I bought a fuel pump for about $100 on ebay, brand new. It wasn't that bad to install, but it did cause my hand to get cut up a bit thanks to the miss-aligned access hole (thanks a lot Ford!!!)

My dealer wanted to charge me 400-something and the car was still under warranty at the time. ******* tried to come up with some BS excuse to not use the warranty. That made me go right into the dealer and cancel my extended warranty (why I got that in the first place I have no idea, it puts a hurt on doing mods! ) and told them to give me my car back and I'll do it myself.

$100 later and 30 min of time and it's done and no more hesitation problems per the TSB.

Oh also, you'll need a new o-ring gasket which you can buy at the dealer. Probably online too if you knew the part number.

My extended warranty covered mine, just had to pay the $100 deductible.

My stock pump is sitting out in my storage shed. Shoot me a pm if you are interested. I'll sell it for a good price.
