That's what you need.
You can also get a combination pad to program with your remotes (get two) if you judge that it's worth the money.
Very handy if you lose them fobs or if you go jogging and don't want to carry keys with you.
You program it with the remotes all together once you get them.
No wiring required and it come with 3M double sided tape, so you can put it anywhere on your car.
Ford part # 7L2Z-14A626-BA. Retails around $80.
Just a thought...

Fobs are one of the best inventions ever lol. The one I bought off of ebay was marketed as brand new.. but when I received it, was clearly pre-owned. In good working order and condition, so I didn't really care. Don't remember who the seller was though.

And be sure to read thru the programming instructions in your car's Owner Manual once or twice before you program it so you're familiar with the steps. As much as I don't like carrying a key FOB for my other cars, I do for the Stang.

Just trying to pass along a subtle message. Apparently you did not understand my meaning.

157db gave you a link to the '06 owners manual. You need to have a PDF reader to open the link. Breeze thru there, essentially it requires a lot of key turning and button mashing.

There are links previously posted to the 2005 OM in other threads but I can't seem to find them. Someone hopefully can post. If I run across it I'll post it for you. The instructions in the '06 manual should be the same as in the '05.
