Also spray some into the lock mechanism on the door jam as best you can. Then, after a few days w/o any more rain, I'd spray with Lock-EZ which contains graphite to relubricate the lock.

I'm assuming the FOB doesn't work, either?
what he said

you have moisture in there.

use the WD-40 to get it out

Heh.
Apparently you were the one that was worried. If you weren't, then you wouldn't have come here asking for help. Right?

Put some electrical tape to cover the key slot when you park your car.

Oh, and I hope your fob works, if not, you need to have your head examined.
Unless something is jammed in there...

You need to DOMINATE the key fob.
The Remote Keyless Entry is KING.
Remotes are available on eBay for less then $10
and you can program them yourself....
DOMINATE the situation instead of it DOMINATING you.

I have never used the key lock once during my 3 years of ownership.
That includes the trunk lock. I also dont have any paint scratches
in those areas as well...

Dont use WD-40 on anything. Period.
IT EXAPORATES AND LEAVES A STICKY MESS THAT WILL
CAUSE LOCK PROBLEMS EVEN WHEN ITS WARM OUT.
Get the proper lock lubricant.
Graphite. iT DISPLACES MOISTURE AND PREVENT FUTURE FREEZE-UPS.
iTS EXPLAINED IN DETAIL IN THE oWNERS mANUAL
And avoid the lock when you are pressure washing the vehicle.

A key fob looks like this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=370294082063

It's a remote keyless entry system.. If you don't have a couple.. search on ebay. You can easily program it yourself. Instructions are in the manual.. if you don't have one, you can search online.. I did not look into the details on the fob in that link, it's just for the picture.

Keep it civil dude, I think you might have stepped on your ******* side as well.
ski should have phrased his post maybe in a different way but no need to call him names.
With the few facts you're giving us, you're not looking too bright yourself at the moment...

A key fob is simply the remote device that you're missing apparently, if I understand your posts correctly...
In that case, E-bay is your friend on that one...
