did not know about this.. thought it was pretty interesting. i will be checking next time i buy tires for sure.

That's very scary because the problem isn't limited to a certain brand or retailer. Just goes to show that big money and corporate greed take precedence over safety all the time. Tainted food, toys with lead paint, blown tires...the insanity never ends.

They make it seem like a tire failure can't be recoverd from... Good information anyways.

I have know about this and i always check when i buy tires! also never buy them places like walmart, costco or sears because alot of there tires may be made buy a leading tire company, but most times they are not available to buy from tire stores because they are made for those companys only! most times they have fewer plies in the tires!

Bought 4 from tire rack 3 months ago. 1708 on all four, haha yes i did just run out in the cold to check

You know, I knew that and I'll be damned if I could tell you that I even had an IDEA how old each tire is on all the cars that I'm maintaining. Guess I'll be checking...
