I'm very curious what the Flowmaster AT Classic would sound like with my headers and H. The youtube videos I've seen are all stock exhaust with them or have an X. It sounds good w/ stock H but I'm afraid with a better flowing midpipe that it'll turn into a BBs-in-a-can sound.

If its quiet your after you could try
Mac Prochamber+pypes Mid muffler+another muffler

I don't know what it would sound like but with so many chambers its bound to be quiet (or I could be flat out wrong)

But are you making the stealth stang?

I had the same issue with my Boomtubes, so I had a set of 18" glass packs added in front of the axle, got rid of most of the drone but still sound pretty good. 24s probably would not have been too much, I may get those when the 18s need replaced. Most any muffler shop will put in a set for $120 installed. Either way, I love how the Boomtubes look so I'll be keeping them.

Anyone have some stock (preferably auto) 05+ stock mufflers with the nice rolled tips for sale? I need them.
I held onto the stock manual GT mufflers but they don't have rolled tips.

Switched them out a year ago for my GTA's and I don't need them so I guess they are for sale. Also have stock springs, shocks/struts and stock 3.55 gears. Never thought any of it was worth much more than the shipping.

I've got two sets of stock mufflers in my attic. I actually just came in from my garage. Spraying them flat black and tossing the boom tubes this week. Not sure what value they'll have to someone since they'll be cut a little on the ends. Eh, whatever.

Lesson learned: Don't mod exhausts, even on domestics.

It is a hot exhaust. I really just want to live with the drone but it's giving me headaches. Man, the tips look so damn good on boomtubes.

Sigh. I may do 18 inch glass packs in addition to the stock exhaust. I want to be SUPER quiet.

I'm planning on slapping on my stock mufflers tomorrow to see what it sounds like. I'll make a video too!

Here's two videos that show stock mufflers can sound bad *** when done right:

that's exactly what I am going to do to my exhaust. I have dual 3 inch cut outs, so when I want it LOUD.. it'll be LOUD lol. I have the stock exhaust on again and it's very quiet in comparison, at WOT the headers scream..

.. well, if you're REALLY wanted a quiet exhaust system, you can add a resonator after the cats (say a 12-14 inch) then a flowmaster hushpower muffler before the stock axle backs.
You could go a step further and get the mufflers from an AUTO GT because they are quieter then the manual ones.

Not sure of the hp loss though lol.
