Default Question about BBK?

do big brake kits have width requirements? do different kits have different requirements? i have 20 inch rims but the stock caliper is very close to the wheel.

yes, certain brake kits have different rim size requirements.

like the GT500 setup. it requires aftermarket 18" or bigger rims due to backspacing issues...or you can install spacers instead. but stocker rims won't fit without help.

I highly suggest you contact the company and ask them directly

looks pretty close man

you can always replace your wheel studs with Grade 8 studs that are longer and install a 1/4" or 1/2" spacer.

it's safe as long as you get high quality replacement wheel studs.

but just looking at your current setup, I'm thinking a new big brake kit won't clearance against your rim spokes.

It depends on the Caliper you are interested in. Wilwood SL6 come in a "thin" version that would probably work. StopTech has templates on their site - print it out, trace it onto carboard, cut it out, pull off your wheel and caliper and hold the template in place, with a couple mearsurments you will know real quick if they will fit. You can always use spacers if its close.
