Default weird engine sound Pinging?

Hey guys,
I have been hearing this weird sound coming from my engine. Sometimes when I shift in to third or 4th and lean in to the throttle quickly (not a stab or anything) it makes a weird metal sounding noise. I'm not sure if its pinging but I have put the stock intake and tune and I sometimes still hear it even with higher octane. The mods I have are 4.10s bamma tune and jlt2. With the jlt2 and the tune I think it happened more often. Oh yea I have some generic radiator from when I got into a front end fender bender. I hope nothings wrong with the motor what would you guys do to try and fix the problem or where should I take it? Thanks alot any help is appreciated.

Bad gas? I have a 92 oct tune and fill up with 93, just to try and be safer.

You sure its not a rattle? I have a rattle under my dash that almost can sound like pinging sometimes.

Try loading another tune on there if you can. Also try some seafoam. Its really hard to explain pinging but it sounds like rocks in a coffee can shaken around.

It's a timing issue as in yours is pushed to the limit in your tune. During the Summer I get it all the time on the freeway even if I run 89 octane on my stock tune. You can go into the tuner and retard the time by a degree or two until to get it to stop until you get a new full tank and can put the timing back to where it was.

Just because you buy shell doesn't mean there couldn't have been water or a lower octane accidently mixed in with it.

Sea foam is the best creation ever. You add it to your gas and you can add it to your intake. I am sure there are guides on how to do it but I would add a can to a tank of gas. It breaks up carbon build up and cleans your engine. Some people have reported pinging going away. I guess the carbon buildup actually increases your compression and when you get it out of there it goes back to normal.

Could also be bad gas if it just started happening this fill up. Use all this gas up without going WOT and then get some more gas from another station.
