New tune for Kooks LT's?
#12
Well, the reason I'm not just jumping at a new tune is that it will run me 125 bucks, so I'm not sure it's worth it. But now I'm thinking that maybe I'll buy gears from brenspeed (25-40 dollars more expensive than buyfordracing) and get the 125 dollar tune for free. Then I just have to find a reputable shop in the Pensacola area to install my gears.

Is that the only reason, 125? That's only a little over 3 tanks of gas or if you smoke only about 20 days of cigs! Splurge. Get the most out of your Stang because not getting a good tune will always haunt you. You be really glad you did!!!

Final Answer:
I called Brenspeed and asked them directly if there are any performance gains to be had from a new tune for my headers, and they said no. They said that the computer should recognize and adjust for that without a tune, and they won't be able to get any more power out of it that they already have it tuned for. So there you go.

If you want something that requires a new tune that would add a noticeable addition in power, dump the K&N CAI and get one of the larger CAIs on Brenspeed's site. I felt a huge difference in power and sound when I went from my K&N CAI to the Steeda.

I have my JLT CAI that I took off a few weeks ago when I installed my Saleen. If you want it, I'll let it go cheap.
