If your looking for the shaker kit for the 2010+, I think the kit is the same except for a spacer that raises the unit up due to the new hood? I am not 100% positive and I would check with CDC? I think this is the piece you would need:

I think if you could verify this and find a used unit and use this piece, you might be able to save a few bucks?

I do a good bit of sheet metal work mostly with Aluminum and I have always found it easier and cleaner to use a jig saw (when you can't use a band saw). But what is most important is to use whatever kind of tool that works best for YOU.

When I cut the hole in my hood I varied from the printed instructions a bit, for one thing I cut through the template, hood, and blanket all at the same time instead of the printed method. I got no rough edges and perfect corners.
Wow, great price, especially if it was new. Any idea if the seller is still around?

This guy (a garage in PA) had just one kit that I think it was for a customer who re-nigged. It was new in the box, and in early 2007 the CDC price was around $725 on eBay at most vendors. You just need to be patient and do daily searches to get the best deal.

Shout out to 2010 Shaker installers:

I understand that the Shaker and the tower strut brace cannot co-exist under the hood. Is it one or the other? If so, is there any noticeable handling difference when brace is removed? I'm not sure I like the trade off.

You're not racing your car so it's just for looks on the streets.
The S197 is also the strongest Mustang platform ever built so it can do without the brace.

Wow. That's definitely a great deal. But yeah, that's something I'll be looking for frequently on ebay and such. Thanks.
