Most likely not unless the act of disabling it caused damage to the trans.

Oh, and on topic.. that would suck... why do people act like its better to have less options? i skip shift like most people when i'm granny driving.. Does the dash tell you what gears are out so you don't accidently try and jam into one only to find it blocked? Seems you'd spend extra time in neutral.. bad place to sit for miliage.
ENCS is Military sales. They've changed their name, but they still have the same great deals. I'm over here for a year; if the 2012 seems better than the 2011, I can simply transfer all the money I've paid down onto that. And, I'm a person who is more impressed with technical superiority; the 4.6 is not it. In truth, were it not for the 5.0, I would be purchasing a 2010 SHO instead.

Precisely. Magnuson-Moss act states that unless you directly caused the failure of said warranty claim item, they must honor it. Melting the pistons off a tune would be a good way of voiding your warranty; I have a tough time believing disabling a solenoid in the shifter would cause any damage in the trans itself.
