good idea or bad idea... flushing coolant
i have a 2006 v6 manual mustang @ 63k. the dealer and oil change places (TIRES KINGDOM) tried to sell me the service of a FLUSH COOLING SYSTEM for $100 +.... my thought is to drain the radiator by unscrewing the cap on top, then unscrewing the nut on the bottom of the radiator, drain all fluid, and then add new fluid...

this guy makes it look very easy, does it make sense to do what he did and pour distilled water straight in to clean all the way?
i have seen posts that support and oppose this...some say to hook a garden hose up to it....knowing how much coolant costs, i kinda want to do this myself and not pay a premium as they have qouted me.... thoughts, ideas, suggestions....all are welcomed.
check this out too, i dont know what one the people were talking about when they said "Whatever you do, make sure that you don't leave any radiator flush in the system because it will eat a hole in the soft aluminum"
