Default o/r x without tune 05 gt?

So its going to be warming up outside soon, wanted to have more money saved up by now to do exhaust intake and tune but was not able to save up that much with school and everything, so I am wondering if I can run and o/r x on my 05 gt without a tune and if there will be any side effects from not having a tune other than the obvious cel that will come on. I know on my older 97 you could do it just would have the cel but idk about these newer cars.

I got the H pipe. I like the deeper rumble they produce over the X. And it was money well spent, way way louder than with cats.

One thing to think about. Any muffler will sound great with an H pipe straight through or chambered. Straight through mufflers sound good with a X pipe but a X pipe with chambered mufflers sound aweful. Just my .02
