Not too surprised really. I don't know if it's because the dealers order few reds or if it's because people buy less reds but I have always enjoyed having red cars and have been in the minority. I could point out cars I have owned over the years where other colors like teal green or black where abundant, but red was rare. So I was pleased to have the rare one. It's less annoying than to walk out in a parking lot and see 100 the same as yours. Same as now with my Candy Apple Red, you don't see that many of them. Even on this forum, I'll bet we are in the minority. I know it was hard when I was hunting around for it.

Yea, it's the Dark Candy Apple Red. The funny thing about it is that it has a few different colored metal flakes in it. The color will change with angle and type of the light hitting it. Sometimes it's deep and dark like a blood red, and others it almost looks like a Torch Red. When I look into the paint it looks like maybe 3 different metal flakes were added. I can't even tell you what color it takes when the yellow street lights hit it at night. It's some weird purpleish, plum color. But don't get this one confused with the Red Candy. That color is more prevalent than Candy Apple but is has a bit of a bluish tint under the right lighting conditions. Very similar but probably different flakes in the paint.
