Well I just ordered a set of FRPP 4:10s with the master install kit and royal purple gear oil and I am so excited. I just wanted to have a moment of bragging

I will be getting them installed by the ford dealership in about 2 weeks. I cant wait!

Gears....I NEEDS it!

 

Congrats!!! I'm considering those myself after I save up some money. Let us know how they feel after you install them.

 

i have an automatic and the gears are badass. U will love them

 

Mines an auto too. Is it easy to burn out without power braking it?

 

What's 1st gear like in the auto w/ 4.10? Even with my 3.31, 1st is quite short and goes by pretty damn fast already. I've been recently thinking that maybe with 4.10's 1st would be gone in like .5 sec which would make it quite useless.

 

1st gear with 3.73's is pure fun...I want the 4.10's...but 1st gear is very short already.


besides, I already have launching issues with any rpm over 2,500...hell, 2,000 rpm is too much most days.


I bet the 4.10's make for one hell of a smoke show though when you lay into it.

 

I havent been to the track since the install but i do need to get some good tires if i want to get a decent time. And yes when u lay into it the rubber smokes easily. But to my surprise under normal driving conditions it is great. However im gonna see what kind of time i can get with my stock tires. My launch im sure wont and cant be aggressive. Track tires to come when my car is paid off this coming JUNE OH YEA
