Bruce, I just went and tried this. The highest boost I saw was about 4 psi, maybe 5. I mean the car just pulled like crazy, I was at 80 before I knew it, so I mean the power is there I am pretty sure...as i stated, i have an sct xcalibrator tuner with supposively 3 tunes. How do I "try the tunes out" safetly? Is there any way to do that, or do I have to take the tuner with me to a tuner and have him safely see what the other tunes are?

with a 10 psi pulley (you would measure the diameter of the upper SC pulley)
and LT's with o/r h pipe, i would guess that you would see 8 psi and that would be normal.

a TS is throttle dependent not rpm dependent
to get full boost you have to floor the throttle all the way down
you should see full boost with full throttle at low rpms
if you put it in any gear, 4th is probly the safest for WOT, you should see full boost at 3000 rpms, as long as your right foot is on the floor.

Really the only way to do it is take your car to a reputable dyno shop and have some pulls done. They will tell you where the timing and air/fuel ratio are, also boost pressure, maf voltage and other things of value.

Getting it on a dyno with a calibrated boost gauge will certainly answer your question about how your gauge compares in the accuracy department.

Let us know how it goes.

Will do guys...Is there anything that could explain this? Is it more than likely that I AM getting the 10lbs of boost, but the gauges are off for whatever reason? What about belt slippage? How would I know if I am getting belt slippage? It is kenne bells 6 rib system...

yes there is one, however it is kind of difficult to see, and it doesnt show boost, just rwhp, and rwtq....I am the 3rd owner of the car, I believe this was done by the original owner however...

Don't get hung up on how much boost a pulley should give you. It's only a reference. Every motor will have different results. Like previously mentioned your long tubes will reduce boost pressure due to less restriction. For all you know the previous owner could of installed blower cams too. Who knows? Get it on the dyno and see where your numbers are. It really looks like you got one hell of a deal on your car. It also looks like the previous owner took care of it.

There you go! Call up Fastlane motorsports and ask them about the car and tune.
