just curious. what about your existing key? does that still start it?

edit- just saw it was a lexus system. Hopefully that means you wont have any of the problems I have with my stock one on the vette. Pics of the fob???

My brother-in-law has an Acura with this. Sometimes it doesn't respond when he gets near the car and has to do a little hula dance by the drivers door.

Sounds like his sensors need some tweaking or are misfiring or something.

Nope. The existing key will not start it. I'll take a pic of the key fob and post it.

Thanks. Like I said earlier, because of the depth of the start button (not the circle part, but everything behind it), there really wasn't a better place to put it.

Oh, and it's not a Lexus "system". The only part that came from Lexus is the actual start button.

Here are pics of the key fob. I put it next to a standard sized lighter for size comparison.

Nice mod there Chief, hopefully that Lexas pushbutton won't make your gas pedal stick or your brakes not work! What do you do if they recall the pushbutton?
