Default 4.10 gears installed!!

Well I picked up my car yesterday morning with my new rear gears in it and all I can say is WOW! At first I was driving it easy and honestly I couldnt really tell a big difference. Then I started smashing the gas pedal more and more and I couldnt believe the difference is acceleration. At every stop light I had to peel myself out of the seat, it was awesome.

1st gear isnt as short as some make it out to be. Neither is 2nd. I got on an onramp and stepped on it and I was up to 115 in a blink of an eye. It does it effortlessly now.

On the freeway the sweet spot is at about 67-70mph now instead of 82mph which I like. Rpms are 2900@80, 2600@75, and about 2300@70. At 70mph I was at 25 mpg.

These gears really woke the car up and it takes off like a bat outta hell now. But if you are just driving normal there isnt much of a difference. They are VERY DAILY DRIVEABLE Anyone thats in the decision between 4:10s and 3:73 go with the 4:10. 3:73 would have been a huge dissapointment.

As far as mileage goes my average mileage went up about 2 mpg. When driving back roads or in town it kicks into a higher gear faster and just coasts real easy so less need for gas pedal smashing.

And they are just as quiet as stock gears no noise at all.

So all in I give the gears at 10 out of 10. Great for every day driving and an excellent butt dyno mod. This is the best mod I have done yet.

I like my 4.10s as well. I agree 4.10s are very drivable. I drive about 65+ miles per. day.

You like the gears better than your CAI/Tune mod?

I always heard the CAI/Tune were the FIRST thing to do for a perf. mod as in bang for the buck.....
I just ordered a C&L Racer CAI with SCT X3 Tuner and decided on it before gears because of what people had said.

CAI/Tune is the gateway mod.

Sweet!! Sounds like a grand ol time. Hopefully my gear shows up before the weekend. Not to be a stickler, but it's 4.10 btw.. not 4:10

Do you get any hesitation with the 4.10?

Welp they will definitely be my next mod.

Wonder why everyone was telling me to go CAI/Tuner first?
