Well I have a Whipple and I have a GT 500 hood and I have been trying to get a strut tower brace for three years. I ordered the GT 500 brace from ebay (great source btw ONF1R ! ) and will try it backwards and forwards with and without washers. I think there are about 100 guys on here with this setup and no strut tower brace so I really I hope I crack this thing for me and them. Stay tuned.......

Yeah.. I watched your vid... Was doing a slow latch.. and right before it "hooked' the pressure went way UP, so I never latched it! No dents...

Cut the GT500... re-welded... spatter sucks (lots and lots of wet towels)... Works awesome now...

If your going to get rid of the stock motor mounts anyway just use the JDM lowered Prothane Mounts and turn it backwards.

It don't sit as tall. That's after cutting it... and the spacing I used for the re-weld. My camera fubarred and I lost the before pics.. There was a solid inch or better spacing before cutting it.

hmmm, well im still not understanding why it didnt fit :-)

if it cleared your plenum, then why didnt it fit?

how could it not fit under your hood when it fit under mine and we have the same strut towers and hood?
