lol at the s2000 comment. i guess everyone has different attributes they look for in a car. s2000 might have some better attributes, but the stang spanks it in performance and specially looks...

there's the ZR1 with the same interior as a base Vette but for $125,000. every magazine makes fun it and for good reason, you get the same radio as a $15,000 Cobalt. there's the Ford GT that Jeremy Clarkson had for a couple months and hated it and got rid of it. one episode of top gear he mentioned the laundry list of things that were wrong with it. the day it was delivered the keyless system locked him out and he couldn't even drive his new car. it was towed back from the set of Top Gear to the dealer.

is there another "american supercar"? I remember seeing the Vectors at exotic car dealerships when they were new. they were 100% american built and from a distance outside the showroom you could see the horrible fit of interior panels. for the $400,000 they were asking it was embarrassing.

if I had mad loot the only american stuff I'd get off the top of my head would be custom stuff like from Chip Foose or Troy Trepanier.

the Ford GT is a cool car for sure, they look pretty sick in person, super low. if money wasn't an issue it would be on "the list" after some Ferrari's and Lamborghini's

looks are subjective but take both to the track straight off the showroom floor bone stock and they'll be very close in the 1/4 mile and the S will rape it on a road course. my stang at PBIR went 13.9 @ 100.5, my friend's bone stock S went 13.9 @ 100 at PBIR with a dying clutch.

in a straight line sure, but I'm not going to pay $80,000 for a $40,000 GT500 with a Kenne Bell blower, the blower ins't $40,000

go on Top Gear's power lap list, there's 23 cars higher than the flagship Ford GT on the list, only one is a domestic, the ZR1, and 18 cars are higher than it on the list. lol, the GT500 was slower than the Focus RS I'm sure the 725hp supersnake would have been a little faster than the GT500 but not much, stock that power won't go to the ground and the power won't help in the turns.

you're right, I'm biased against it though. to me it's a McLaren F1 copy, basically they took an F1 and added a million vents
