I have not noticed this before so I am worried.

Used to, when I would get in the car and turn the key on (without the engine started up yet), all the lights would turn on engine, battery, etc. and all would turn off, but the engine and battery would stay lit until I started the engine and then they would not be lit.

Now... the same thing is happening except for this..
the engine light will stay on when the engine is not on (but the key turned on so radio is on) just the same as it used to.. .but now after it has stayed on a couple of seconds.. it will blink 6 or 7 times and then stay solid. When I start my engine.. the light turns off again (along with the battery light), like everything is normal.

Is there something wrong or is this something that has always happened and I just never noticed it.
I can't find anything in the owners manual. It only says that if the engine light is blinking AFTER engine start that engine misfire is occuring.

I have a Brenspeed 91 Octane tune.

Can someone please shed some light on this for me?

sounds alright to me. no if it remained onafter u turned it off different story..

Also maybe ur check engine light is meant to be on but because your tune turns it off for certain things when you turn on ur car thats why it disapears

Umm yes... that's why I said I can't find anything in the owners manual about it in my first post hehe.

 

You need to hook up your handheld tuner and check to see what code it is throwing. If you don't have a handheld, then go up to Autozone, etc & they can check it for you. Post up the code and then we can help.
