Default Rear axle seal leaking :(

So I had my Detroit TrueTrac and 3.73's installed a couple weeks ago. Got under there today to check everything out again and noticed that my right wheel was grimy. Son of a B. Pulled it off and took these pics:

When we brought the rear end in to the guy, he said the old wheel/axle seals had worn a little on the axle, and he would replace them. It didn't look very bad to me at all, but then maybe the tolerances are pretty tight for that sort of thing. The other side looks fine.

So what do I need to do now? Can I have the axle seal replaced or could it be that it's just not sealing because the axle was worn? The guy I took it to is 3 hours away, back at home. I don't feel like I should even drive it, mostly for fear of the diff oil getting up on my brakes. I plan on calling the guy Monday :S
