it will set a code for cat efficiency(check engine light on). it will have no effect on driveability, but it will sound like crap, and you will gain little to no performance. there is a common misconception that if you remove the cats that you will gain lots of HP, but thats not the case.

i am not JUST removing cats, i know that would have sounded like crap... i am doing pypes true duals with cat deletes OR X pipe and muffler deletes with JBA headers, it'll sound good, i was just trying to figure out if it will affect drivability... like cause the engine to run lean....

You have two options.
1. Use a tuner to shut off the rear OS sensors.
2. Use MIL eliminators.

Like everyone said, without a tune, you will throw a code. Will that setup sound good on a six? I would think it would sound like a ricer with a coffee can muffler?

I said it in your last thread and I will say it again, not being an *** but I do not think that setup will sound good at all. It will be loud, but won't sound good.

actually only one, the tune, mil eliminators are not used in the s197, and for the op you will probably need o2 extensions, but you will def. need a tune with the header install and may i suggest bama a lot of people, myself included, had problems with the code from the jba headers but doug fixed it on his first try
