roush m90
and unlike some companys, Roush sticks behind their products.
Over in the 2004-2008 F-150 forums, I know a few guys who sheared their driveshafts and grenaded their 9.75 axles. Roush stepped up to the plate and fixed it.
I really want a FRPP Whipple, but that new lower price on the Roush blowers has got my interest. I had the Non-Intercooled (+112 HP/TQ) RoushCharger on my 2006 F-150 and that puppy was nasty. With just the stock Roush tune I could powerslide on command and 1st gear was pretty much useless when she was in the boost. And that was in a 6,000 lb 4x4 lifted pickup with an auto tranny. But I guess nearly 500 crank TQ will do that for you
once your warranty is gone, get some custom tunes. The only thing I needed addressed was the stupid Boost Bypass valve operations. Roush has their tuning set so the valve isn't shut until 80% throttle. Change that to about 20% throttle and hang on

the M90 will get you at 420 RWHP without any issues. It isn't as good at cooling as the bigger boys, so it will get heat soaked faster
but for the money, you cannot go wrong with one. I had no idea they had dropped so much in price. They are down about $1,300 from when I priced them out last year.
with pulley + tune + supporting mods you could probably squeeze 450 RWHP easily. which to be honest is a butt-ton of power for a street car

IMO after doing some checking the m90 isn't a very good value IMO, its NOT intercooled it comes with no injectors, no plugs or fuel system upgrade like a boost a pump, these are going to have to be added expenses, I am going off the yates performance kit and what they list as parts, I could be wrong, if you want roush the 2300 looks like a lot better value its got injectors and an intercooler for $900 more and its a larger blower.
to me the brenspeed vortec kit is way more of a value than the m90 kit, its got everything you need except the intercooler which you could get by without for $3900. the absolute best value on an intercooled kit is this one

you still need plugs and a fuel system upgrade, but that is it. the only thing that would make me hesitate on it is being worried about getting the tune right. if you live near a shop that can do good dyno tunes this kit would be what I would buy, I hear it maxes out at about 450rwhp, some people don't like the jackshaft, but I think its a better idea than making the air go all the way to the back. I have seen jackshafts used in a lot of appllications and I think they work great, in any event this keeps the belt tension and pressure off the main bearings of the unit.
