roush m90
the other is also a good choice...but the price is up there.
420whp is a healthy amount of power. Heck, 400whp was alot.. it may have only been at 380ish whp, but it sure felt like 425ish lol. This time around, I am going intercooled, moderate boost (8psi) and leaving it at that, while upgrading suspension and wheels...
all that power is no fun if you can't hook for squat...
Bump. I am in the market for a different blower next season.. I just got an email concerning winter time start up on the Vortech unit and it applys to ALL kits. I also spoke to Roush and Magnacharger and they said their kits will be fine and they have done extensive testing on them, even in freezing weather.. Only to use a mixture of coolant and water (forgot ratio) to prevent freezing of the coolant in the intercooler.
I wish I had known about this BEFORE I got the Vortech and NOT afterwards, now I feel stuck with it.. I'll enjoy it for this season and sell it in October or maybe even sooner.
Thinking of the R2300 or possibly the m90.. not looking to blow another motor or anything lol, just want about 420 whp/intercooled and safe for winter (relatively speaking)

I am loving the M90 kit, it's a lot of bang for your money. I took my freind for a ride tonight in teh car, hes a dihard LS1 fan and is lookign for a SS camaro of forumla. He came out of the car impressed, the thng will move out with little drama. By that I mena it puts all of the power it has to the ground welal nd is tons of fun to drive. Most folks get 380whp, but you can hit that 420 number with a CAI according to the roush guy i spoke with about warranty before buying. I am not worried about teh motor at all, roush is very conservative with their tunes, i am just liek you. I wanted something I could floor and not worry about blowing up. I highly recommend it.
dang it.. I should have gotten one. I love the Vortech but I am sure I'll like instant power on tap.

The warranty with the roush kits are amazing..
if I do get the kit, I'll stick right around 420whp on the stock block and about 500whp w/ the brenspeed 302.

How is the mid-top end pull?? I was some thinking about the Vortech and can't help but feel a little jipped lulz
350-360whp after heatsoak, and thats all the way up in the RPMs (6K??).
I am thinking about either the M90 or the R2300 next season, but still can't help if the M90 + CAI/tune wouldn't be enough. I know the R is bigger and makes more power effortlessly, plus it runs cooler and takes less power from the crank to run it than the M90.. I don't know though, I don't really need a ton of power to keep happy
The good thing about the R is that with larger pulley and tune, I can run a good 460-500whp on the stock block compared to the 420-450 maxed out 90...
hhhmmm.....
