roush m90

IMO after doing some checking the m90 isn't a very good value IMO, its NOT intercooled it comes with no injectors, no plugs or fuel system upgrade like a boost a pump, these are going to have to be added expenses, I am going off the yates performance kit and what they list as parts, I could be wrong, if you want roush the 2300 looks like a lot better value its got injectors and an intercooler for $900 more and its a larger blower.
to me the brenspeed vortec kit is way more of a value than the m90 kit, its got everything you need except the intercooler which you could get by without for $3900. the absolute best value on an intercooled kit is this one

you still need plugs and a fuel system upgrade, but that is it. the only thing that would make me hesitate on it is being worried about getting the tune right. if you live near a shop that can do good dyno tunes this kit would be what I would buy, I hear it maxes out at about 450rwhp, some people don't like the jackshaft, but I think its a better idea than making the air go all the way to the back. I have seen jackshafts used in a lot of appllications and I think they work great, in any event this keeps the belt tension and pressure off the main bearings of the unit.

here is what the yates site says the m90 comes with
•Brings total power of engine to 435 hp and 400 ft-lb of torque at the flywheel
•Black finish
•Fits 2010 Ford Mustang GTs with the 4.6L 3-valve V8 engine
•Includes ROUSH® PCM calibration
•ROUSH® cold air intake system (tube and air box cover) for added thermal isolation and increased power
•Plug-and-play wiring harness for quick and easy wire installation
•50 state legal
•Protected by industry-leading 3-year/36,000-mile warranty
•Features ROUSH® logo
Please note that this kit only works for 2010 model year Mustang GTs.

the 2300 blower should be fine on a stock engine, they probably say that for warranty reasons. the whipple and edlebrock blowers are 2.3l as well, you might not be able to run the smallest pulley with a stock engine.
I still think the magnacharger is the better deal even if the m90 kit comes with an intercooler

I am not seeing a M90 kit for the 2006 Mustang GT on Yates
Also the warranty won't be something I need to worry about because my car
is almost at 45k mi. so that nulls that issue all together.

Go to roushperformance.com, click on "Superchargers", get the part number for the 05-06, contact Yates or other vendors and see what they will charge for the kit.
While you're there, click on vehicle year of interest and read the description of the kit.

he has the 05-09 M90 blower for the same price $4,350. Here are the part #'s. I bounced them against the Roush website. Seem to be correct.
#420112 IS FOR 05-06 MUSTANGS
#420114 IS FOR 07-08 MUSTANGS
#420116 IS FOR 2009 MUSTANGS

Bump. I am in the market for a different blower next season.. I just got an email concerning winter time start up on the Vortech unit and it applys to ALL kits. I also spoke to Roush and Magnacharger and they said their kits will be fine and they have done extensive testing on them, even in freezing weather.. Only to use a mixture of coolant and water (forgot ratio) to prevent freezing of the coolant in the intercooler.
I wish I had known about this BEFORE I got the Vortech and NOT afterwards, now I feel stuck with it.. I'll enjoy it for this season and sell it in October or maybe even sooner.
Thinking of the R2300 or possibly the m90.. not looking to blow another motor or anything lol, just want about 420 whp/intercooled and safe for winter (relatively speaking)
