Default WHEEL Widening?????

Hey guys. When I bought my car, I found a set of Foose Hornet rims for an INSANE prices with tires. I could not pass it up, especially since these were the wheels I was dying to put on my car. Well, the only downside was that they are a 20x8.5 inch rim. I want the back to be a 20x10, so I can put a 295 or greater on the rear, preferably a 315. Does anyone know how much this would cost to get done? Does anyone know anywhere in Central Florida that does this? What all is involved and what risks are there? Thanks!

i dont know a whole lot about this, but i would be seriously concerned with ruining the integrity of the rim. it might be safe, but its a chance i really would consider.

I agree completely. I just think it would be nearly impossible to sell 2 Foose hornet 8.5 inch rims on their own, due to them being somewhat rare to see on cars, and then buy 2 20x10's new...I just doubt I could pull that off, so I am looking all possible options.

I can't help you on who or where they would do it in your area, but any wheel shop that specializes in this can widen and balance the wheel no problem. Don'y worry about them ruining your wheels or having them be unsafe or anything. Ask Jazzer, he might be able to help more.

Tigerhonaker "Terry" over on IMBOC did this to his OEM Bullitt Bullits. The shop did a great job. Think it cost him $800 though. That is enough money for new rims IMO.

the shop is up North though. You might want to drop by IMBOC and ask him. I'm not exactly welcome over there anymore, otherwise I'd find out the info for you

It's safe, but offset will be even higher than you need.

yep, those are the guys

they can do any offset and backspacing you need. it all just depends on where they place the widening section
