Nah it's very easy. As Local Yokel said the trans doesn't have to come out; it's 4 bolts and you only loosen them up a bit. Just be careful not to unscrew them all the way

There are several how-to threads and probably many more reviews/opinion threads out there. Just remember that you have the newest design, so some of the older threads are going to have the old instructions. The new design is easier to install as it comes all put together, which is nice. At times two people would have been nice (one in the cabin, one under the car), but other than that it was very easy to do.

Good luck!

When i put mine in i unbolted the for bolts for the cross member which made it easy to do.On the 08 they put some padding in the tunnel which makes a pain getting at the bolt on the side of the trans.

Well the install went well, took about 2 hours using a jack and jack stands. I went with the shortest throw possible, and it feels great. The only comment I have is the side to side play is almost non existent. It feels like super solid, even in neutral. So it seems pretty stiff compared to what I am used to, but the shifting is no nonsense. It is exact and smooth.
