I have got the BFG KDW2's (255/45/18) installed on the rears and they are much stickier than the stock BFG KDW All Seasons (235/50/18). Car is not a daily driver so I don't really care about road noise but I guess I'd say they aren't too bad... Not too expensive either.

Working at UPS, I see a lot of tires go though and some "racier" looking tires I have seen are Sumihoto (SP?) HT series, Goodyear Eagle F1's, Bridgestone Potenza's, and Nitto Invo's.

I have Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta. And I love them, but I do live in Southern California so we don't get TOO much rain and these are summer tires. But when it does rain I have no complains about them either, great tires in my mind

I have been very impressed with the 19" Pirelli P-Zero's on my 2010 GT. Since I have free Lifetime Replacement (Part of a maintenance contract), on my tires at the dealer, OEM's are going back on when needed.

The new gossip on TireRack is the new GS-D3 are manufactured in China, and some say the quality has suffered for it. Why does this not surprise me?

I'm happy I only have to worry about that 2-3 months out of the year, if even that.

Most people love the Nitto 555's. I HATE mine! Cant stand those P'sOS. No traction in the wet. I have probably 80% tread left and they are worthless. I will go to wal-mart and the buy the cheapest tire they sell before I ever buy another set of 555's again.

I would look at the BFG's or Goodyears.

I wanted a set of the GS-D3's, but if I recall correctly, I would have had to get a 295/35 for the rear and they were just way out of my price range. :[

However, I picked up a set of the closeout KDW's on Discount Tire... LOVE THEM. I didn't even know it was possible to get this much traction out of a street tire. I can literally stall my car up and floor it from a dig (on the STREET) and it won't even spin with 4.10's... it just squats and takes off without a chirp. It seriously feels like sub 2.0 60 ft on a normal street. It pulls low 1.9 60 ft's all day long on the track. I used to chirp through 4th with my previous 285/40 Dunlop SP9000's, but I can only get a short chirp in 2nd now. They are just as astonishing around corners as well.

They are nice arent they

I swear they are truly an amazing tire. like you said i cant spin the tires with 4.10s without really laying on it. they are great for just getting up and going and leaving the other guy sitting there trying to get grip.

I am picking up some more 285/40s next week from tirerack myself and will store them til i need them
