Default 2010 Sync Swap

not sure if anyone has done this but is it possible to take all the sync components out of one 2010 mustang and put them into another 2010 mustang? i have a friend who totalled his premium v6 with shaker and sync and ive already gotten his steering wheel and his shaker hu (so the steering wheel controls will work) but i would really like to get sync in my car and was wondering if its possible to take out of his and put in mine?

I dont see a reason why it wouldnt work. You can buy the system from ford. You might have to get something programed by ford but in theory it should work.

take good notes when you unhook his, it takes the place of the stereo so i would imagine it would be plug and play, get the satalite antenna also.

Did you post this question a while back? Did I ask you about what color the interior was on the car?? I'm looking for Saddle Leather.

Dealer has to 'configure the module' but other than that, plug n play
from one 2010 to another 2010.
Take pics before unhooking either one.
oppps cant cus you already have some of it in hand....
The 2005-2009 wiring diagrams are not as good as one would think
so I would suspect the 2010 Ford Workshop Wiring Manual would
be the same of sorts....

i know where the module is but the wires and plug for it are not in my car so i would have to get the whole wiring harness. the module is located above the glove box right under the passenger side airbag. where can i get the wiring diagram for a 2010?
