Haha, thanks guys.

Basically I'm in a position to do any and all of those things, but I'm just trying to figure out which one would be the logical choice. Which, with the help of you guys, I should come to a common decision.

This car is what I've always wanted, I love Mustangs and I love the retro design. I'm crazy for the 69 Boss/Mach 1 editions, but it'll be a long time before I ever, if at all could afford one of those. This is going to be as close as I can get. I'm not really concerned with "having the most power" otherwise I could just throw on a super charger. What I really love, is all motor. Nice exhaust, and just that throaty, lopey idle of a nice set of cams.

Some might say, well if that's all you want then just get some cams and more bolt ons and be done with it, but unfortunately that isn't enough for me. I like displacement, if I had it my way there would be a 460ci engine tucked up under there, but that probably isn't the best of choices I suppose.

I want to stick with the modern technology, and the new 5.0 isn't much heavier than the 4.6 so there wouldn't be much change there. I'd probably want to do heads, cams, full bolt ons, no matter if I got the 2011 or if I upgraded just the motor, so that cost is going to be there regardless. Me & the 06 have some history together, which is why I want to keep it and since it is already paid for that just makes it even better. So that is where I am leaning.

I'm not exactly sure, and I'm sure not many people here are sure, of how much it would cost to do the upgrade, as no one that we know of has done one. Again, I don't want to be the guy that makes that compulsive purchase and regrets it later on. I did that with my 06, only to wish I had ordered it and got exactly what I wanted. I do like the styling of the new models, minus of course the rear end, but it appears Saleen did a nice job of improving on that... but then again the styling of the 06 needs some upgrading, mostly to the likes of the GT 500. Either way, it's going to be costly for me.

Menace, have you thought about searching for a GT500?
