Default Tires

Well I am getting new tires put on my 06 GT today. I have the stock 235 50 18's. The guy at the shop said he also had a set of 245 40 18's if I wanted. Anyone possibly have these? If so, any pics? Just wondering how differerent they might look. Thanks!

Try to keep the OEM tire height. Your best bet for a wider tire is the 255/45/18 in replacement of the 235/50/18. If you get a shorter tire you have to worry with speedo calibrations with your handheld tuners and higher RPM on the highway.

+1 on the 255/45/18 tire size!

Yea, and the 245/40/18 will look small on your car. Don't buy what the tire shop suggests as they are trying to move what they have in inventory, not what is the best size for your car.

My car has tat size all around but I think its too small and I plan on upgrading to 275s when its time for new tires.
