Default Quick question on brake pads

Hello all,

I've owned my car for about two years now, bought used with 11k on the odo, and I was wondering if I was overdue for brake pad replacement. Visually the pads still look to have meat on them and there is no audible noise while driving or braking. I drive mostly highway/suburbs, very little stop and go type stuff.

I start thinking about replacing them when the pad gets down to about 1/2" or so. That usually gives me time to order the exact pads I want, and find time to do the work.

I think you mean 1/8". They're not 1/2" when new.
