I've not worked on any Mustangs, but you almost always need a compressor to get the springs in/out.

Def need a compressor, the fronts shocks and all come out with the springs installed. also you have to replace the shock mounts too. they are one time use. You will end up with clicking in the front end if you don't. The GT500 parts are like $60 if i recall. i lowered my 05 with those springs and also needed the longer camber bolts to get the alighnment correct. AND FWIW, you might find that the ride is realyl rough with those springs and stock shocks. i had the tokino (tokinco or whatever) blues with my 05 and it rode horribly, very very rough and jittery.

Yes you need a spring compressor for front struts. For the rear you can unbolt the rear shock and let the rear hang low enough for spring to fall out, just remember to unbolt the ABS sensor wire from the frame bracket 1st

The shock mounts being one time use is debatable, I know of a few pepole that reused them and they work fine with no clicking.

OP,Sportlines is one hell of a drop, plan on trimming down your bump stops too.
