Can I order custom tunes from AM or Brenspeed using the FRPP Cal tool?

Agreed, I don't think you can write to Ford's unit. Obviously, I would ask a dealer or Ford certified mechanic what the options are with that tool. Best way to go would be an SCT tuner with free tunes for life from AM

Does anybody know the answer to my second question?

The throttle body, how much of a difference will the throttle body make?

On an NA S197, aftermarket TB's provide no measureable gain.

The throttle body does provide a weight reduction though. But only to your wallet.

Whoops, sorry, must have forgot about that question haha. Yeah, the throttle body won't give you noticeable power gains. Mileage, I've heard conflicting reports, but power, very minimal

I find that really hard to believe! it seems like it would be an immense hp difference.

Does anyone know why it doesn't help? It seems like going from 55mm to 62mm would make a huge difference.

Now i'm curious as to WHY it doesnt make a difference.

I couldn't tell you exactly. Not really an expert on that subject. However, being an engineer I have an idea. You're engine still 4.6L regardless of what throttle body is on there. Yes, the bigger throttle body will pull in more air, but with the engine size still at 4.6L, there really isn't "more air" in the engine. You will see some addition in the engine, but not much through continuity. Also, the bigger body has more surface area to it. This creates more friction to slow down and heat up the air being pulled in. So theoretically any more air coming in through the body loses most of its potential energy in the form of friction and heat. Now, I may be wrong, but that's my take on why they don't do too much from a quick engineering perspective lol
