Default Quick question abour SCT

I'm about to buy the FRPP CAI and Sct Sf3 tuner. When they email you your new tune, how do you get it onto the tuner thorough the computer? Do you have to download a program for the Sct tuner onto your computer? If so where do I get the program from?

Thanks

SCT has a website with all the information. I was in your position the other day and was worried about locking up my handheld but everything went fine. You will need to download the software onto your desktop and then save the tune file onto your desktop. Once you have the software for the handheld onto your computer u hook your handheld onto the computer and go.

I think i have an attachment to this for instructions that brenspeed sent me

What company are you purchasing the SCT Tuner and FRPP CAI from?
When I purchssed my SCT Xcal3 tuner from Brenspeed, it came with 3 custom tunes already on it. They ask for specifics on your car and they will create the tunes specifically for your car.

American Muscle with a Bama Tune. I just want to make sure I can install any software needed onto my computer before I buy it. I believe they preload 3 tunes too but after I buy another mod I'll need a new tune that they email to me. Right?

When Doug emailed me some new tunes about a year ago, I had to download Live Load Ford from the SCT website.
The new tune files are CEF files, my original tunes were ll3 files.
My original software did not recognize the CEF files.
I don't know if you will have to download anything, but if you do, it's pretty simple.

Thanks for the help guys. I should be able to order them on Friday. Hopefully I can get a base dyno run first from a local shop.

Yes depending on what kind of mod it is, some mods don't require a new tune...
