Default Gremlins

so i recently had "the leak" pay me a visit after we had a couple of days of hard rain, i believe the leak is fixed now but wont know for sure until it rains again. But since the leak my caution flashers have turned on by themselves twice, i suspect the SJB got some moisture on it and is causing this, is there anything i can do or is it just inevitable that these gremlins are going to keep popping up, i am out of warranty so this really sucks.

Thanks for any info

How did you clear it out where it gets clogged and causes it to leak?

I'm not familiar with the physical layout of the SJB but 157db and a few others might be able to provide some assistance. I suspect that there's some oxidation, dirt or remaining moisture that is allowing an intermittent circuit path and that you may be able to break it with compressed air. I'd also consider hitting the SJB with some contact cleaner but only after I get feedback from some folks that it won't do more harm than good.

The water leak issue is a real bitch and I grit my teeth anytime either of my 2 garage queens are driven or parked in the rain.

Redfire: i had to take off the cowl to get to the area where it was clogging, i took some pictures and am going to make a thread showing each step that i took, it will be up today, it rained again yesterday and no leak so it looks like it worked, im hoping i dont have any leaks in other places im going to keep looking out.

Nuke: thanks for the input, ill see if i can find anything on the layout and what others have done because i know this water leak issue has affected a lot of people

here is a link to the thread i just did today, it has pics and more info ...mainly it was just a bunch of leaves, some pine needles and the dust that was in there had clumped into mud with the water so i created like a paste for everything to stick together

Mine is an 06 and lives in the garage. It getting wet is a rarity but it still bothers me that it might be a leaker... I just wish I knew, without making it leak. Paradoxical I know but hey LOL

ya i feel you, its like even if you havent gotten the leak you still have to live with it because theres a chance that it might happen and you dont know when or where
