'11s have a K-member brace stock.

Well, taking the car into the dealer on monday next week. If they can't figure out the clunking issue, those MFer's are putting a new tranny in it!

Drove my old 5-speed jeep yesterday and go figure, no funky-*** noises coming from under it! I love my new stang, but the little things **** me off.

Not sure on the torque limiters TBH, but here's a picture FordEngineer just posted in another thread on the forum:

that looks like the same brace that is on ours. Its not really a brace, it just ties the kmember together. There are not limiters going up to the tranny. At least thats what i gather from that pick

So i took my car to ford telling them i have a problem with 3rd gear grinding badly. Even took the tech for a ride and showed him how it grinds... also my severly squeaky driver seat..very annoying... they have had my car for 2 days and said they dont know what the problem is and they have a call into Ford. very unhappy for owning a brand new 5.0 for 3 weeks...thinking i may go german after this loan is done. I was very excited hearing how the quality of Ford products was becoming very good, but after this experience im starting to see not too much has changed. Ill let you know what happens when they decide to fix the car ha ha.

If there is an issue with the trans, pop a TR6060 in it.

My V6 auto is having some issues.
When I slow down for a rolling stop and then step on the gas, the car hesitates. It is almost like it is in the wrong gear. I'm hoping a re-program comes out for the tranny.
Two times now, I start the car in my garage, put it in reverse, press the gas and the engines revs up and the car creaps bad slowly. As if the car never went into gear. And then yesterday I has the same thing happen when I started my car to pull it into the garage. Something strange going on.

On my 04 V6, I had grinding issues going into 5th. Of course it was out of warranty. I ordered a 4th-5th syncro and a bronze limiter bushing before I pulled the trans. Once I got into the trans, all that was wrong was the $1 bronze limiter bushing, but since I had it apart and had already purchased the syncro, I put both in. You could tell it was the limiter because once it was apart, you could see the extra movement and the difference the new bushing made. Just wonder if you have the same problem? Ford should replace yours under warranty.
The fluid comment is stupid and the dealer should know better than to say that.
Also, I am not a big fan of Getrag. I believe they also made the differential for the 04-07 CTS-V and it was a POS!
