The OP posted $700 from AM and $529 from Modulardepot. I didn't confirm his numbers.

I really wanted to order from AmericanMuscle, but I called them to get a combo deal on the Airaid and SCTX3 but they would not do one. I would have to buy them seperately which would have cost $700. I got my stuff from modulardepot for $529 shipped. Couldn't pass up that deal.

Now I have to start putting 93 back in the tank again before it gets here. Excited to see how much this wakes up the beast.
He said he wanted the airaid intake and not the JLT ... that was his reasoning not going with AM

That's exactly it...I know it sounds pathetic, but I don't like the look of the JLT or C&L under the hood.

Yes. Actually...I was wrong. It's $710. $329.99 for the intake and $379.99 for the SCT X3. Though Brenspeed does have a combo deal for $674. Still paying $144 less than Brenspeed.

I thought you were referring to 2005Redfire6's post on the JLT or C&L not the OP's Roush / Airaid.

Okay my question has been answered because you didn't like how the JLT or C&L looked.

I know the feeling. I would likely have paid $579.99 (minus Forum Discount) for the FRPP / SF3 combo at AM over the JLTII (which I had) or the C&L. I like the fit and seal of the airbox (I had a late 2007 so I had the hood pad designed for it) on the FRPP even if it gives up a few hp.

Yeah Gene...another good point. I really liked the way the airbox fits with the Roush/Airaid.

So, got everything earlier this week. Installed the Roush CAI with no issues. Man, I love how that thing fits, looks and sounds under the hood.

Anyway...since I haven't gotten 2 full tanks of 93 through the car yet, I loaded up the 87 tune. Started the car and it ran horribly. After trying a few things, I reloaded the stock tune, installed the venturi adapter tube in the CAI and was back up an running. Sent an email off to Chris at ModularDepot describing my issues with the custom tunes.

(As a side note, Even with the Roush CAI with venturi tube and stock tune, the car ran much stronger).

By 1pm the next day, Chris sent me a new pair of tunes to try out. That evening took out the venturi tube and loaded up the 87 tune. All I can say is...WOW. The beast really woke up. So much more responsive now. I can't wait to load up the 93 tune now.
