Default Side Airbag Question

I just wanna ask a simple question, without getting flamed or anything like that. Yes, I have used google.................it proved worthless for me.

My question, is I have side airbags in my seats. I want to disable them safely. How do I do it? Also is there a way to disable them, AND turn off the blinking light?

any help would be GREATLY appreciated

What.. .do you want to put a kill switch in there and just turn them on at the instant you get in an accident? Isn't that what the front shock sensor is supposed to do for you? What happens if you are reading a newspaper while you are driving and don't see the car that you are about to get in an accident with coming at you?

Why would you be reading a newspaper while driving.... o_0.

The only airbag I have is on the passenger side, my driver one went off when I barely hit someone and I didn't have the money for the deductible.

I believe all that you need to do is buy a airbag delete resistor from Ford (it's like a shorting bar) part# XF2Z-14B022-AA retail for $12.91, not sure if the smart junction box would need to be reprogrammed to turn off the side bag option or not.
