The red and black edition is a color scheme of the Laguna Seca edition. Of which, it will be in EXTREMELY limited production and SPECIFICALLY meant to be a full on race car (that happens to barely be street legal).
The reasoning behind the color scheme is simple: ITS A RACE CAR. Using imagination, add a number and sponsor decals all over it and voila! Factory ordered, VIN equipped RACE CAR.
yes on its own its kinda ugly, but fully decked out in race trim and sponsor decals? Yeah its one MEAN car.
The "regular" Boss 302 is very sexy, and personally I really like the overall look of the package. But I personally still want a GT500.

Prove to me where it is "barely street legal" are you serious? ... have you seen a "full on race car" looks nothing like that. But on the most serious note I am EXTREMELY disappointed in various ways about the new Boss, I pointed out a lot of my views in another post but if you think your GT500 is a waste ... trade it in for the boss next year I'm sure the dealer wouldn't mind too much

I hope so, getting the GT500 back down to $46K would be nice. Although, this may be incentive enough for dealers to ask for more on the sticker before negotiating a price.

But back to what you were saying, I think we're all gonna be left with dropped jaws and bug eyes with the next GT500. (Or possibly it'll be called Cobra again considering I have more SVT badging than Shelby badging on mine. Or maybe they're gonna drop a BOSS 429 bomb on us! ) Exciting times ahead. Go Ford! Oh, and rumor has it that a Fusion SHO is coming next year.
