CAI and tune questions

If you want economy buy a Prius. An economy tune will make you want to hurl and don't provide much of an economy gain anyway. It's just not right on a Stang. And the issue with the 93 octane tune for DD is that the different tunes pull differently and if you drive on the street like you do at the track, than maybe the 93 tune WOULD be your choice. But since even the custom 87 tune will spin your tires compared to the stock 87 tune, there's no reason why you shouldn't experiment with the 3 tunes you order beginning with the lowest octane and working your way up so you can determine immediately the differences. I run my 89 tune about 99.9% of the time simply because of how it feels for my driving style.

I am currently running the 93 octane "race" tune as a DD. I do have a 5/M though. All the "race" tune does is give you a lot more power throughout most of your RPM range. Although mine REALLY comes alive @3K. I am not peeling out at every stop sign and red light in town....that too was a concern of mine. I am not sure about what it does to an automatic, but I am guessing you will be just fine. Rememeber, they are trying to SELL those tunes.

I use my 93 race tune for about 99% of my daily driving. There are only two gas stations around here that sell 93 octane so I sometimes switch to the 91 street tune but I don't care much about how it feels compared to the 93 tune.
