ya i am doing the research now, i was also wondering how the harness bar actually works....?

For a street driven car you still need the stock 3 point. On the street one problem with shoulder harnesses is you can not lean forward. This is a big problem at some stop lights and cross streets. If you don't have the 3 point installed I can almost guarantee what will happen is you will end up wearing only the lap belt because the shoulder straps are such a PITA (ask me how I know).
