Default Lethal Performance single-piece aluminum driveshaft - saves 29 pounds

Replacing the two-piece driveshaft on the 2005-2010 Mustang was one of the best mods out there, and already companies are coming out with them for the 2011. Lethal Performance just introduced theirs, and it saves 29 pounds.

did the driveshaft gain 10 lbs since 05-10? i thought ours only weigh 39lbs..

still, looks like a fine driveshaft... and I agree, it's a good mod.. not a big change like gears or intake but a noticeable one. kind of like udps and cmdps, i noticed i lost traction earlier in the RPMs in 1st

How much those things run for the 05-09 models?

It's a half pound heavier and 150$ more expensive than shaftmasters

A 19 lb savings seem high. I weighed my parts. There was roughly a 16 lb savings with the driveshaft (rotational mass), and I added a 5lb driveshaft loop for a net savings of 11 lbs.

Does the car basically feel less heavy acceleration wise with a DS? I can't justify a $700 driveshaft being worth it.

The one piece DS was a well worthwhile mod when I did mine. It almost felt like having lower gears installed. I only paid $450 for my spydershaft though.
